Our urgent needs are as follows:

Health Centre

  • Staff Housing – In order to serve patients at all hours we need to expand our staff housing so that staff can be at the Health Centre around the clock. Recruiting staff for our Health Centre is difficult and providing staff housing helps us to attract and retain staff.
  • Medicine and equipment – Purchasing needed medication and supplies is a constant challenge. Having a stock of the right medicines can mean the difference between life and death for a mother and her newborn baby.
  • Expansion of maternity ward and inpatient department and construction of out-patient department.
  • Volunteer Doctors and Nurses – We welcome doctors and nurses to work with us, to train our staff and promote health in our community, whether for long-term or short-term stays.

Clean Water

Many in our community – including our schools – do not have access to clean drinking water. A base line study of water usage has been undertaken, and this was followed by a detailed design for a gravity system. We are now seeking funding to implement this design.

School

Our new school is in need of furniture and equipment, teaching materials and supplies for the children. We also want to provide at least one meal per day so that the children can concentrate enough to learn. Toilets and clean drinking water are also needed. Volunteer teachers, whether short- or long-term, will also be very welcome. Please consider making a donation for the school.

Other

We welcome your initiatives and ideas. For example, we would love to provide sports programs for our community’s children and to improve the livelihoods of local farmers by improving agricultural practices and undertaking agri-processing.
